Use with your AI

Use with your AI

You don't need to learn a video framework. Pick visuals here, then let Claude or Codex do the building: you describe the result, review it and ask for changes. There are three ways to connect — use whichever suits you.

  1. 1. Hand-off from the site. No setup. Select visuals, press “Use in Claude” or “Use in Codex”, review the request and open your app (or copy it).
  2. 2. Connect MCP. One command. Your agent can search the library and fetch exact source itself.
  3. 3. Plain files. Download a zip and put it in your project. Works anywhere, even offline.

Claude

Claude Code

Opens a new Claude Code terminal session on your computer with the request typed in, ready for you to review and send.

  1. Install Claude Code (https://code.claude.com/docs).
  2. Start `claude` once and send any prompt — that registers the claude-cli:// link handler on macOS, Linux and Windows.
  3. Optional: connect the AI Pixel Wizard MCP server so Claude Code can fetch packs with tools (see Use with your AI).

Claude Code can read files, run commands (with your approval) and export video with the pack's render script.

Claude chat (claude.ai)

Copies the request, then opens claude.ai. Paste it into a new chat and attach the downloaded source zip.

  1. Sign in at claude.ai.
  2. Paste the brief and attach the source zip (or the individual files) from the download button.

Claude chat cannot run ffmpeg or Node on your computer, so it cannot export a video file. It can adapt the code and may show a live preview as an artifact; run the export yourself or use Claude Code.

Let Claude search the library itself

Connect our read-only MCP server once. Then ask, for example: “Create an eight-second JavaScript video of bouncing chrome balls. Look in AI Pixel Wizard for useful ingredients first.”

claude mcp add --transport http aipixelwizard https://aipixelwizard.com/api/mcp

No account or API key is needed for public visuals. The connection only lets Claude search and read the catalog and create source packs; it cannot touch your files by itself.

Optional: install the skill

A short instruction file that teaches Claude the workflow (find ingredients, keep exact versions and licenses, test, report honestly). It is instructions only — it does not grant network access.

# as a plugin (skill + MCP connection), from the unzipped download
claude --plugin-dir ./claude-code-plugin

# or only the skill
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r skill/aipixelwizard ~/.claude/skills/

Download the Claude Code plugin · skill only. Not listed in any marketplace.

Codex

Codex app

Opens a new Codex chat in the desktop app with the request in the composer, ready for you to review and send.

  1. Install the ChatGPT desktop app with Codex (it registers the codex:// link handler).
  2. Optional: connect the AI Pixel Wizard MCP server so Codex can fetch packs with tools (see Use with your AI).

Codex can read files and run commands in your workspace (subject to its approval settings) and export video with the pack's render script.

Codex CLI

Copies the request. Paste it into `codex` in your project's terminal.

  1. Install the Codex CLI and run `codex` in your project folder.
  2. Paste the brief as your first message.

The Codex CLI runs in your terminal and can export video with the pack's render script.

Let Codex search the library itself

Connect our read-only MCP server once. Then ask, for example: “Create an eight-second JavaScript video of bouncing chrome balls. Look in AI Pixel Wizard for useful ingredients first.”

codex mcp add aipixelwizard --url https://aipixelwizard.com/api/mcp

No account or API key is needed for public visuals. The connection only lets Codex search and read the catalog and create source packs; it cannot touch your files by itself.

Optional: install the skill

A short instruction file that teaches Codex the workflow (find ingredients, keep exact versions and licenses, test, report honestly). It is instructions only — it does not grant network access.

# only the skill (user scope)
mkdir -p ~/.agents/skills && cp -r skill/aipixelwizard ~/.agents/skills/

Download the skill · Codex plugin folder (for a local marketplace, see OpenAI's plugin docs). Not listed in any marketplace.

What happens after you press “Open”

These are separate steps, and we only see the first one:

  1. Hand-off: your browser asks your computer to open the app with the request typed in. Nothing is sent until you press Enter there. We cannot detect whether the app opened.
  2. Source retrieval: your AI fetches the pack (over MCP or HTTP). Some setups block network access — for example a sandboxed agent. If so, download the zip and put it in your project.
  3. Integration: your AI writes the scene and adapts the ingredients. It may need a few rounds of feedback.
  4. Video export: a browser preview is not a video file. The pack includes npm run render, which renders every frame and encodes an MP4 with ffmpeg on your computer.

Export a real video

Every pack and download contains the same exporter. It needs Node 18+, ffmpeg and Chrome or Chromium.

npm install
npm run serve # preview at http://127.0.0.1:4173/<id>/<version>/index.html
npm run render -- bouncing-marbles-box/1.0.0 --out marbles.mp4
npm run render -- kinetic-title/1.0.0 --param text="LAUNCH DAY" --out title.mp4

3D scenes render with software WebGL when no GPU is available — correct but slow (about 1–4 seconds per 1080p frame on a server CPU in our tests).

Troubleshooting

Clicking “Open Claude Code” does nothing
The link handler registers the first time you send a prompt in an interactive claude session. Do that once and try again, or use “Copy brief”.
Clicking “Open Codex” does nothing
The codex:// link needs the desktop app with Codex installed. Use “Copy brief” and paste it into Codex instead.
My AI says it cannot reach the link
Connect the MCP server, allow network access for that session, or download the zip and tell your AI where it is.
Copy doesn't work
Some browsers block clipboard access. The request is shown in full in the hand-off panel — select it and copy manually, or save it as a .md file.
The pack link expired
Packs last 30 days. Your sequence is still in your browser; open it and create a new link.
